From the 1st January, 1902, double Exchange Compensation, or the payment of the whole salary at the rate of 3 shillings to the dollar, was granted, with the result that the salaries of European Officers paid in Silver were very materially increased by being virtually placed upon a Sterling basis.

4.

a. The Dollar Salaries,

b. Their Sterling value at the close of 1901.

c. Their present Sterling equivalent.

d. The existing Sterling Salaries.

5.
